Our Mission:
The mission of the International Association of Black Travel Writers is to help promote travel in an effort to help fuel the economy. One of our main goals is to promote African Diaspora Heritage Trails (black historic and cultural sites) as a part of cultural tourism. Other goals include promoting black travel in particular, developing travel writers and educating the public about the benefits of travel in general.

What We Do:
We network about things going on in the travel industry. Our members write travel and travel-related articles in various publications. We attend travel meetings and conferences. It is our intention to be a recognizable force in the travel industry. We also work to promote black heritage trails including places, things, events, historic landmarks, and artifacts related to the history and culture of people of African descent.
