We have a center for children, where we take kids that are on risk of being
on the street or about to leave school to work on the street.

HOW DO WE DO IT?
Kids go to our center for a good lunch, and in the morning or in the afternoon
they come to our center as well. They stay from 7am to 11 am or from 2 pm to
5pm and during that time we help them with their homework, we do activities to
develop leadership and values as well as cultural activities, play, practice
sports, watch and analyze movies. The kids we work with are very poor and they
have never been to a cinema or a swimming pool so we do that, we take them to
do fun things (if they behave off course, most of the time they are very good
kids) by going to our center we prevent them to spend their time on the street
after school which is where they get into trouble. We make sure they do well at
school so, they become good example for their families.

The programs have proved to be very effective since the kids are doing very well
at school and none of our kids has dropped it. also they love to be there
we do all the activities they don`t get to do at their homes. such us, we
celebrate their birthdays, halloween, Christmas, and all the things kids should
be doing.

At the moment we have 100 kids for lunch and 15 in the morning and 40 in the
afternoon as we lack staff to help with them.

We dream of having a soccer team, a chorus, art classes, and many other things
that we can not do because we simply can not afford to pay the teachers.
