According to the article, most Ottawa residents were "surprised, and more than a little offended, to learn their fair city ranked at the bottom of the list, with an "embarrassing" 40% score."

Surprised? Really? What city have you been living in, people?

In a town where Friday afternoons finds the pubs packed with mid-level bureaucrats talking government procurement over stale pints of Stella, where the potential for snow six months of the year puts paid to any serious sense of fashion, and where nearly every travel article (and there aren't that many!) written about the place contains the words "nice" and "clean", did anyone really expect us to rank high on the "sexy" radar?

Don't get me wrong. I've had a love-hate relationship with O-town over the years, but lately I've generally settled on "love". Still, to really love someplace, you've got to be honest. And honestly? Ottawa is definitely not sexy.
