Celebrating Palm Sunday in Barcelona

The most important events in Spain's Christian calendar in Barcelona, Palm Sunday. 
(Fiesta de Ramos/Fira de Rams) a solemn procession pass its way from La Seu the cathedral in the old town to one of the parishes. In this events many Christian celebrate in the observance of this tradition. In many Christian churches, Palm Sunday is marked by the distribution of palm leaves (often tied into crosses) to the assembled worshipers.

The palm craft creations made by local families. Visitors will be bowled over by the sculptures on show, some of which are up to 12 feet high and sport the most majestic braids, tassles and intricate designs. Depending on the particular parishes that participate in procession while the procession doesn't take in all the parishes, each church does hold its own celebratory mass. (Bendición de la Palma.) Blessing of the palm is one of the main events after the procession.

History lovers will want to stroll the avenues and back streets of the Ciutat Vella (Old Town), taking in rustic subtleties along with such famous sites as the Catedral and Museo de Picasso. This famous street leads to the shore front home of the aquarium, World Trade Center, Olympic Site, and many museums.
