Lift off to Sverige in 2…1..wait!…4…3…
|
Had I boarded my original flight today, it would have been attempted without a passport. As of this afternoon, it sits at the Swedish Embassy. Similar fond memories of past experiences at various embassies with my green passport come flooding back. If my passport were blue, would my immigration worries be over?! The last few weeks have flown by in such a blur that I’m actually quite pissed that I let them fly by in such a blur. Projects, articles, meetings, art exhibition – all fun but not all at once. This trip couldn’t be timelier. In true fashion, packing for 3 months is usually done within hours of boarding my flight. Sunday will be no exception. Less than a week after I leave for Stockholm, I will attempt a 72 hr jaunt just-for-a-one-day-meeting in Seattle stunt back to the US. I will blog about the experience upon survival. As I switch home base to Sweden this summer; braving an intensive Swedish training class while working remotely, I’ll be sure to carve time out to explore more of this country I’m beginning to fall in love with. |

Ay, Lola. That dark blue passport really does have its advantages. I feel you!
